What the calculator compares

The result displays the target instant, calculation profile, zodiac, allowlisted engine/method metadata, precision state, and boundary warnings. The profile is fixed by the current tool configuration and does not change with page language. No aspect/orb rulepack is applied.

An explicit target instant

The interface does not use “now” or the browser's local zone as a hidden default. The user enters the target date and time manually in a field labelled UTC; the client sends it with a Z suffix, and the result preserves the normalized instant. Choosing another date creates another transient local result, not a public result URL.

The current positions-only mode does not request a target location, city, latitude, or longitude.

Natal data and profile consistency

The natal context requires adequate birth date, time, and an IANA timezone. This calculator does not calculate an Ascendant or houses, so it does not request a city or coordinates. Unknown time never silently becomes noon.

Natal and transit positions cannot mix coordinate profiles. The current form fixes both contexts to Western tropical and does not merge Vedic and Western facts.

Why aspects are deliberately excluded

An aspect is not just a label. A future rulepack would need to define included bodies, angle, allowable orb, applying/separating calculation, and treatment of retrograde motion. Until that complete table is sourced, versioned, tested, and reviewed, the calculator exposes only raw separations and never calls them aspects.

The engine owner must also validate that natal and target contexts are each calculated once, that concurrent profile requests equal sequential execution, and that no silent data or house fallback occurs.

Interpretation boundaries

Transit interpretation belongs to astrology and is offered only for entertainment and reflection. A computed angular relationship can be reproducible without predicting a guaranteed event. The page will not forecast death, illness, accidents, financial movement, marriage, breakup, or another person's choice.

The tool will not advise a user to delay treatment, invest, travel, contact someone, or make a major decision because of a transit. Neutral prompts must remain separate from factual positions.

Limitations

Different astrology systems use different zodiacs, houses, bodies, aspects, orbs, and interpretive rules. Results cannot be compared unless those settings match. This calculator neither models a birth-time uncertainty interval nor calculates house activation.

The calculator has no saved profile, history, PDF, public sharing link, or personalized LLM reading. A server failure returns an honest error state rather than cached or fabricated positions.

Privacy in the calculator

Required inputs travel by same-origin POST, are processed transiently, and return with private, no-store behavior. Birth details, target instant, positions, separations, result, and hashes must not appear in URLs, persistence, logs, traces, replay, analytics, metadata, advertising, or quiz parameters.

Explanatory example

A synthetic test can calculate a natal longitude and a target longitude under the same tropical profile, then show their signed and absolute separation at an explicit timestamp. The calculator lists that arithmetic without assigning an aspect or interpretation. This describes a fixture, not a transit reading for any person.

Can I calculate transits here now?

What does “now” mean?

The current UI has no “now” shortcut. Enter a target date and time explicitly in UTC; results never depend on an undisclosed clock.

Which zodiac does the current form use?

Western tropical for both natal and target positions. The form does not expose a profile selector.

Is a target location needed?

No. The current tool calculates positions and separations without local houses and does not request target coordinates.

Will I get a shareable transit URL?

No. V1 keeps the result in transient local state and places no personal facts in the URL.
