Exact D1 chart
The calculator profile is Vedic D1: sidereal Lahiri zodiac, Whole Sign houses, Ascendant, classical planets and mean nodes with sign, degree, house, and retrograde status where supplied by the engine. Structured house membership and warnings accompany the positions; the current result is text-first and has no chart-wheel SVG.
The current form is fixed to this Vedic D1 profile and offers no Western or house-system selector. Language does not change the profile, and the result does not mix tropical positions, Lahiri signs, Placidus cusps, and Whole Sign houses.
Birth date, time, and manual coordinates
The chart needs civil date, minute-precision local time, IANA timezone, latitude, and east-positive longitude. The caller enters the timezone and coordinates manually; no city, address, geocoder, or location dataset is involved. Nonexistent local times are rejected, repeated times require an explicit earlier or later choice, and coordinates and the supported 1900–2100 range are validated.
Unknown time blocks the current request and never becomes noon. This calculator does not return a reduced chart or evaluate a time-uncertainty interval.
One normalized chart core
Within a request, the civil-time layer normalizes the input once and the chart method uses that instant for Ascendant, positions, and houses. Shared astronomy utilities keep longitude, Lahiri, Whole Sign, node, and retrograde calculations consistent across calculator methods.
The calculation envelope records the pinned provider/version, zodiac, Lahiri value, Whole Sign system, mean-node type, UTC instant, method version, warnings, and precision. There is no geographic provider or dataset because coordinates and IANA zone are manual inputs.
Method and limitations
Current result presentation
The calculator presents a structured, text-first result rather than a chart wheel. Nested labelled values list the Ascendant, bodies, houses, retrograde states, and warnings; the result heading receives focus after calculation. This avoids making visual geometry the only way to inspect the chart while broader accessibility review remains open.
The current result uses no canvas or decorative SVG. Fixed calculation settings remain visible above the submit action, and no symbolic interpretation is inserted into the fact tree.
Interpretation boundaries
Astrology is offered for entertainment and reflection. A reproducible chart does not scientifically diagnose personality, health, gender, sexuality, compatibility, fertility, profession, wealth, danger, marriage, or future events.
The chart will not identify a soulmate, make a decision for the user, or produce fear-based remedies. Factual positions remain separate from localized symbolic text.
Limitations
The calculator excludes D2–D60, KP, Bhav Chalit, PDFs, saved profiles, public result links, and other chart variants. Its Birth Chart output contains D1 only; the separate Ishta Devata calculator performs its own limited D9 derivation. Another profile requires its own rules and fixtures.
Input accuracy, timezone history, engine, data, zodiac, houses, and nodes all affect output. This is not advice for medical, legal, financial, safety, religious, or relationship decisions.
Privacy in the calculator
Minimum inputs use same-origin POST, transient processing, and private, no-store behavior. There is no place query, location token, account, or saved chart. Birth data, coordinates, timezone, chart facts, result, and hashes must stay out of URLs, storage, logs, traces, replay, analytics, metadata, advertising, and quiz links.
Explanatory example
A synthetic fixture can supply manual coordinates, an IANA zone, and a precise time, normalize them to UTC, and produce one D1 fact set. A test near a sign, polar, or timezone boundary shows a warning or error rather than switching systems. This is a QA scenario, not an interpretation of a natal chart.
Frequently asked questions
Can I create a birth chart now?
Which chart does the current form calculate?
Vedic D1 with Lahiri sidereal zodiac and Whole Sign houses.
What if I do not know my birth time?
The current request is rejected because its Ascendant and houses require a time. The calculator does not substitute noon or return a reduced chart.
Does this form calculate a Western chart?
No. The current form is fixed to Vedic D1 with Lahiri and Whole Sign houses.
Can I save or share the chart?
No in v1. There is no account, history, PDF, or public personal-result URL.
