Shani Sade Sati Calculator

This calculator generates a neutral Saturn phase timeline from the calculated Rashi; it does not score severity, predict events, or prescribe remedies.

Generate a neutral Sade Sati exact timeline from Rashi and Saturn ingresses, without severity, prediction, or remedies.

Enter the calculation details

Enter the birth instant and a UTC analysis instant to evaluate the Saturn transit phase.

Birth or civil-time details

Use the calendar date at the location of the event.

Enter the clock time shown at that location, not a converted UTC time.

Use UTC or a location ID such as America/New_York, Europe/Madrid, or Asia/Kolkata; abbreviations such as EST are not accepted.

Keep the safe default unless this clock time occurred twice during a daylight-saving change. Then choose the occurrence recorded at birth.

Analysis instant

This instant is interpreted as UTC, within 1900–2100, and sent with a Z suffix.

What the calculator locates

The calculator derives the natal Moon's Lahiri Rashi, resolves Saturn's sidereal ingresses around an explicit analysis date, and identifies intervals when Saturn occupies the sign before the natal Rashi, the natal Rashi itself, and the sign after it.

Why a timeline needs an ingress solver

Saturn does not move in a simple uninterrupted block. Retrograde motion can cross a sign boundary, leave a phase, and re-enter it. The calculator scans in five-day steps, bisects each detected ingress to a 60-second tolerance, and preserves the resulting intervals rather than forcing one artificial span.

Natal Rashi and unknown time

Noon is never inserted silently. The entered birth time is normalized once, and that single Lahiri Moon Sign becomes the natal reference for the Saturn timeline.

Method and limitations

Neutral interpretation only

Sade Sati belongs to Jyotish tradition. A computed interval is not a scientific forecast of hardship, loss, illness, death, debt, relationship failure, punishment, or destiny. The page will not describe Saturn as a threat or claim that every person experiences the same events.

No paid remedy, ritual, gemstone, mantra, or urgency-based offer may be attached to a phase. Any reflective text will preserve choice and avoid fatalism.

Limitations

Different ayanamsas, natal Moon calculations, ingress definitions, date ranges, and interpretive schools can produce different timelines or labels. The calculator searches 18 years on either side of the analysis instant, clamped to the supported 1900–2100 engine range. A versioned rule explains one implementation but does not make it universal.

The tool is for education, entertainment, and reflection. It is not medical, legal, financial, safety, religious, or relationship advice.

Privacy in the calculator

Minimum birth and analysis inputs use same-origin POST, transient processing, and private, no-store behavior. Dates, timezone, Rashi, Saturn positions, phase, intervals, warnings, and hashes must stay out of URLs, storage, logs, traces, replay, analytics, metadata, advertising, and quiz links. No profile or history is saved.

Explanatory example

A synthetic fixture can make Saturn enter a test Rashi, retrograde across the boundary, and re-enter later. The result shows distinct intervals with exact settings instead of one smooth block. This is an ingress-testing scenario, not an interpretation or forecast for a person.

Frequently asked questions

Can I check Sade Sati now?

Is each phase exactly 2.5 years?

The calculator uses solved Saturn ingresses and preserves retrograde exits/re-entries rather than assuming a fixed length.

What if my birth time is unknown?

The current tool does not proceed without a birth time and does not perform an all-day stability or candidate calculation.

Does an active phase guarantee hardship?

No. It is a symbolic tradition period and cannot predict an event or outcome.

Will remedies be recommended?

No fear-based remedy, ritual, mantra, gemstone, or paid prescription is permitted.
