The Lo Shu Grid Calculator places the nonzero digits of a Gregorian birth date into a fixed 3×3 layout. It preserves repeated digits and clearly separates the raw date grid from an optional overlay that adds two derived numerology values. The fixed Lo Shu layout
The cells always appear in this order:

Version lo-shu-grid-1.0.0 extracts digits from the date in DD/MM/YYYY form, ignores zeros, and places every other occurrence in its matching cell. If a date contains three 2s, the 2 cell records all three. Missing values remain visibly absent rather than being guessed.
Raw grid and derived overlay
The rawGrid is the direct record of date digits. It reports occurrence counts, present and absent values, and any recognized lines under the declared rules. It is always the first grid.
The optional derivedGrid begins with the raw grid and adds the Driver or Psychic number reduced from the day plus the Destiny or Conductor number reduced from the complete date. Each added occurrence is marked as derived. If both values are the same, the overlay records two separate additions instead of merging their provenance.
How to use it
Enter a valid Gregorian birth date and calculate. First compare the digits in the displayed raw grid with the date you entered. Then review the day and full-date arithmetic. Enable the derived overlay only if you want to explore that specific convention.
Do not compare a raw grid from one source with a derived grid from another as if they were the same method. The result shows the method version and whether the overlay is active so the view can be reproduced.
Methodology and interpretation
Zero is omitted from the nine-cell layout, but it remains part of the original date display. Repetitions are never collapsed to a single “present” marker. Driver and Destiny have separate audit trails, and the raw view never changes when the overlay is toggled.
Descriptions of present numbers, missing numbers, or lines are symbolic prompts. A repeated digit does not prove a strength; an absent digit does not prove a deficiency. The grid cannot observe skills, choices, relationships, education, culture, disability, or circumstances.
Limitations
Different numerology schools use different reduction, master-number, overlay, and interpretation rules. This calculator supports only its declared v1 behavior. A different zero policy or line definition requires another rule version and reviewed sources.
The date is a compact input, not an assessment. Do not use the grid for medical, mental-health, educational, employment, financial, legal, or relationship decisions. It cannot forecast events or explain a person's past.
Privacy
The date and both grid views are computed on this device. They do not need to be placed in a URL, sent to a calculator endpoint, stored in a profile, or copied into analytics. The v1 result clears on reload or close.
Aggregate events may record the tool, locale, version, and generic success/error class. They must exclude the birth date, age, digits, present or absent values, lines, Driver, Destiny, derived overlay, and stable hashes. Nothing is passed to the quiz.
Example
Take the fictional date 20 February 2002. The raw extraction contains repeated 2s and several zeros. Every 2 is counted in the 2 cell, while zeros do not enter the grid. If the optional overlay adds a derived value, it is visibly tagged and does not alter the provenance of the raw occurrences. The pattern does not diagnose any trait of a fictional person.
